  • ...after!

  • New flooring, new furniture--and Cam Newton! A big bed with a new mattress, all decked out in Panthers blue!

  • And of course, this man cave wouldn't be complete without a flat-screen TV to watch all the big games!

  • So excited to see his man cave! Ikaika even wore Panthers blue for the occasion.

  • Wish kid Ikaika's first time seeing his brand-new man cave! His smile was out of bounds!

  • Everybody say "Panthers!"

“ Yaaaay! ”

- Ikaika, wish kid

Thirteen-year-old Ikaika is all about family. He loves spending time with his big ohana, but his condition often makes it difficult to enjoy simple moments that many of us take for granted.

Due to his nervous system disorder, Ikaika requires extra special attention and equipment to remain safe and comfortable – even when relaxing at home. Creating a Carolina Panthers “Man Cave” for him was a way to give him a safe and special space to share with the people he loves most.

Wish granters, volunteers and local vendors went to work right away, making Ikaika’s room into an awesome space any football fan would envy. After a week of hard work, his room was complete with new flooring and new furniture all decked out in Panthers blue, and a life-sized poster of Cam Newton! Of course, this man cave wouldn't be complete without a flat-screen TV to watch all the big games! His room was truly transformed into the man cave of his dreams.

Ikaika was overcome with joy  and his smile lit up when he saw his new room."All he could do was laugh and say, ‘yaaaay!’ over and over again!,"  recalled Danielle, his wish granter."Granting Ikaika’s wish was an unforgettable experience. I saw how his wish ignited new strength in this incredible Ewa teen."

All he could do was laugh and say, ‘yaaaay!’ over and over again!
Ikaika and family

Now Ikaika hangs out in his own personal man cave and is reminded every day that he has the courage and spirit of a Carolina Panther!

Ikaika and his family now hold regular movie nights in his new space. The popcorn is popped, the blankets are on and everyone is gathered in Ikaika's retreat to celebrate simple moments together as one big happy family.
