CHD Awareness Week

CHD Awareness
We recognize Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week in honor of the many children with congenital heart conditions who have been granted a wish. Wish kids Tausaafia, Jin, Tisha and Veda all have heart conditions that they will battle for the rest of their lives. Read each of their inspirational stories of resilience below.

Tausaafia

Tausaafia

“Disney World gave her this magical belief. It was like she was in another world, a magical world. One where you didn’t have to wait in any lines, everybody was friendly, families could just be families, kids could just be kids and worries didn’t exist." - Tausaafia’s mom, Charmaine.

Jin

Tisha

Tisha

“In our particular situation, we have learned so much from Tisha and she has taught us that we need to live each and every day to its fullest; not worry about the small things that we cannot change and be thankful for the love and blessings we have in our life and family.” – Tisha’s mom, Maureen

Veda

"We had such a great time. It was something Veda and the girls will remember forever." – Ali, Veda’s mom
