Celebrating our Volunteers

April is volunteer appreciation month and Make-A-Wish Hawaii would like to shout out a big MAHALO or THANK YOU to all our amazing volunteers!

We have so many dedicated volunteers who contribute to the fulfillment of our mission in so many ways, and we could not do what we do without their support. To celebrate these extraordinary people, we threw a volunteer appreciation event on April 19th at Dave & Buster's Honolulu. About 50 volunteers showed up with family and friends to be recognized for their hard work and dedication.

Our volunteer & Outreach Coordinator, Kari, spoke from her heart about how grateful she is for each and every one of our volunteers and passed awards to those who went above and beyond.

Here are our winners:

2015 Wishing Star Award: Anela Belegaud,  Jensine Nahoopii and Anthony & Altwan Whitfield.

2015 Shooting Star Award: Darcy Fiero and Jessica Agnew.

2015 Constellation Award: Cherylene Hidano, Cynthia Yoshida, Erle Chan Chue and Curt & Sheri Yonamine.

2015 Supernova Award: Diane Pang, Dianne Carroll, Laura Dressel and Talia Osurman.

Thank you to these volunteers and the 400 others who make a difference in the lives of the children and the families we serve each and every day.
