CHILD’S WISH TO FLY IN WWII PLANE TO COME TRUE THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

Date

May 25, 2013

This Memorial Day, Make-A-Wish Hawaii will welcome Chase – a 13 year old boy with a life-threatening condition from Kentucky – to Hawaii to help grant his wish to fly in a WWII Plane.

With the support of local volunteers, The Pacific Aviation Museum, Pearl Harbor and Hickam Air Force Base, Chase and his family will have the ultimate aviation experience here in Hawaii.

Chase will begin his wish with a VIP tour of Pearl Harbor on Monday May 27, 2013.  On Tuesday, May 28, 2013 Chase will receive a custom flight suite and his wish will speed up with a day full of aviation history and first-hand experiences!  Chase’s day will include

  • A private flight in a CAP-10 Airplane
  • A private, VIP tour of the Pacific Aviation Museum
  • A  flight simulator experience
  • A tour of a static F-22 Raptor, the F-22 Squadron, and the Hickam Crow’s Nest Tour / WWII T-6 Tour on Hickam Ramp

Wednesday will be just as chock-full of aviation excitement when Chase will fly in an Aerobatic Glider at Dillingham Airfield!

Chase’s wish is possible because of support and volunteers from our local military installations, historical sites and volunteers, and will be a very special way to remember our country’s history and service members this Memorial Day!
