June 02, 2017

June 2, 2017 – (Honolulu, Hawaii) On June 17, Make-A-Wish Hawaii’s Young Leaders Board will celebrate their 3rd annual Waffles for Wishes event at the Ward Village Courtyard. The superhero-themed “champagne chic” brunch will raise funds to grant wishes for keiki with life-threatening medical conditions as well as bring together a community of busy working professionals looking to pair their for-profit experience with the Make-A-Wish mission. Featuring a delicious spread from Hawaii’s best restaurants, divine cocktails and dynamite live entertainment, the young leaders of Hawaii will gather together for a great cause with a goal to transform the lives of local keiki across the state.

”Summer is our busiest wish-granting season of the year, we currently have 38 local wishes across our state that need your help this summer alone” said Siana Hunt, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Hawaii, “it’s such a heartwarming feeling knowing that the young leaders of our community have rallied together in support of our local kids.”

Tickets will be offered at $85 per person, with admissions covering unlimited food and drinks. Proceeds from ticket sales will go directly back to Make-A-Wish Hawaii’s wish-granting efforts.

The Young Leader’s Board will also be looking for new, enthusiastic members to join their philanthropic society, “Heroes for Hope.”

“As young professionals in the Hawaii community, we all know success is achieved by supporting one another and investing in values you believe in,” said Young Leaders Board member, Ryan Tsuji. “Our philanthropic society, Heroes for Hope invests in the lives of our local children who are fighting unimaginable battles with childhood illness, together we can lift families of our community out of a place of worry and fear, and give them hope for a brighter tomorrow.”

Join us for endless pupu and bottomless drinks as well as live DJ entertainment by SuperCW all while helping transform the lives of our local keiki.
