April 27, 2016 (Kailua, Hawaii) – In celebration of Mother’s Day, several businesses are collaborating to throw a fun-filled day for local families and also raise funds to benefit the children of Make-A-Wish® Hawaii on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Monica Lau Photography in Kailua, Hawaii.
Monica Lau, owner of Monica Lau Photography, is joining forces with Family Hui Hawaii and local business Smarty Dance to host the event “Milk & Cookies.”
As part of the Mother’s Day celebration, Monica Lau Photography is offering $100 mini-sessions of family photography for mothers and their children during this special event. The entire session fee will be donated to Make-A-Wish Hawaii, a non-profit dedicated to grant the wishes of children who are battling life-threatening medical conditions, to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
“Cookies the size of a child’s head, cold milk to wash it down, a glittery backdrop, the glamor of studio lighting, and fun activities provided by Smarty Dance is the perfect recipe for a happy face and joy-filled heart,” said Monica Lau and her crew, who have been preparing to capture the fun side of each child and loving relationship between a mother and her child at the upcoming event.
“It wasn’t until a few months ago that I got large heirloom quality photographic art of my daughter for our home (the story of the cobbler and his children’s shoes). Like many moms, I waited too long and now my daughter is moments away from becoming a teen! As a mom and a photographer, I know how important it is to have professional images that document the love and bond that a mother and child have,” said Monica Lau.
The team at Monica Lau Photography works with each mother and child to create photographic fine art optionst o decorate their home. All wall portraits from Monica Lau Photography come with archival framing, so clients go home with ready-to-hang artwork.
Only 15 sessions are available, by appointment only. Please call 808-349-5148.
