April 12, 2016 – (Honolulu, Hawaii) On Friday, April 8, 2016, the Boys Bunch of Hawaii celebrated the 30th year of their signature annual event, April Foolish, in support of Make-A-Wish® Hawaii. The lavish party was held at M Nightclub and featured unique food stations from some of Hawaii’s best restaurants, including Le Bistro, Ruth’s Chris and Bellini’s, combined with signature drinks, dancing and live music with special guests FreeSound and surprise guest Willie K. The celebration was nonstop from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m.
The dedication of proceeds from this event toward granting wishes for 30 years makes the partnership between the Boys Bunch of Hawaii and Make-A-Wish Hawaii the longest-standing partnership for the wish-granting organization statewide. Thanks to the generous support of the Boys Bunch, Make-A-Wish Hawaii has been able to grant over 50 wishes for Hawaii children battling life-threatening medical conditions.
“This is a major milestone for our foundation and the Boys Bunch,” said Siana Hunt, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Hawaii. “For 30 years, through their generosity, the Boys Bunch and their supporters have demonstrated their heartfelt compassion by dedicating the proceeds from this event to making wishes come true for wish kids throughout our statewide community. For 30 years, the Boys Bunch have been our heroes, and each year they’ve shown how fun it can be to grant life-affirming wishes to special kids who need them.”
Each year over 100 local children are diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition and the philanthropic group’s annual event enables Make-A-Wish Hawaii to achieve its vision to reach and grant every eligible child the life-affirming power of their one true wish.
