“ Mom, it's time to get my puppy! Let's go! ”

- Eity, wish kid

At just five years old, Eity battles chronic renal failure and has already undergone kidney transplant surgery. After receiving a new life-giving kidney, Eity had a long road of recovery ahead of her and it was through this time of healing that she discovered her one true wish.

Therapy dogs would often visit Eity in the hospital to help make her smile and lift her spirits. It was this joy during her medical battle that inspired her ultimate wish to have a puppy of her own – one that she could “grow big with.”

With the support of the Hawaiian Humane Society and the Petco Foundation, Make-A-Wish Hawaii staff and volunteers helped create a magical wish journey that came to life through a storybook.

It was a story about a young girl named Eity who found herself in the midst of a fairytale while on her journey to find her “furever” friend.
