Eleven-year-old Kenny is a high-spirited child, full of kindness and generosity. This was made clear when it was time for Kenny to decide on his one true wish.
After Kenny was diagnosed with cancer and learned that he would be granted his most heartfelt wish by Make-A-Wish® Hawaii, there was no doubt in his mind that it would be to see snow for the first time at Lake Tahoe where his extended family lives.
Growing up in Maui, Kenny is a long way from the powdery slopes of the High Sierras. For a young boy who had never seen snow before, a trip to Tahoe during the winter would be the experience of a lifetime. Excited by mountains of white, fluffy powder and visions of a winter wonderland, Kenny was in for an action packed adventure with his family.
To start off their snowy vacation, Kenny and his family checked into the luxurious Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino. From the breathtaking views to the stunning amenities, the hotel provided Kenny and his family with the perfect place to relax between their snow activities.
Eager for the family’s arrival, our friends at Incline Village had a whole bunch of exciting activities lined up for Kenny and his family. Kenny had a blast at the newly renovated Diamond Peak Ski Resort, learning how to snowboard on the bunny hills, making giant snowballs and playing in the snow. Kenny and his family will definitely have some “cool” memories to talk about for years to come.
