12-year-old Christian has always loved the game of football. To him, nothing beats the feeling of running onto the field with his teammates and enjoying some friendly competition.
Football is his passion, but once he was diagnosed with epithelioid sarcoma, Christian was forced to step away from the game and onto the sidelines. Although he was no longer able to play on a team, he kept his passion alive by watching his favorite NFL team, the San Francisco 49ers, compete on TV. Receiving treatment and recovering from surgery had become the main focus for Christian and his family, replacing the time he once spent making plays and throwing touchdowns. The young athlete desperately missed being part of the action, so when he heard he would be granted a wish, Christian knew exactly what he wanted – to meet the 49ers and watch their game against the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium!
The day Christian and his family took off to the City by the Bay marked the start of an unforgettable “once-in-a-lifetime” wish experience. Click on the San Francisco 49ers video below to watch Christian's wish touchdown!
