Planned Giving

Join our many supporters who help Make-A-Wish Hawaii create lasting memories for the children and families we serve by including us in your will or estate plan. You can help future generations of local children with critical illnesses to receive wishes by including us in your will, trust, retirement plan or life insurance policy.

If you have already named the Make-A-Wish Hawaii as a beneficiary of your will, trust, life insurance, retirement plan or other account, please let us know. We would like to welcome you to our Legacy of WishesSM recognition society and give you special benefits that come with membership. You can remain publicly anonymous and will receive these benefits, and we understand that your plans may change.

Planned Giving Include Us in Your Will, Estate Plan

A gift through your will or estate plan is the simplest and most popular way to help grant wishes for future generations of children.

Adding a gift through your will or living trust can be as simple as adding a single sentence. Here's our preferred language; take this to your attorney to use as a starting point. Contact us if you have any questions!

I give the sum of $___ or ___% of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Hawaii, P.O. Box 1877, Honolulu, HI 96805 (tax id: 99-0220777) to be used or disposed of as the Board of Trustees deems appropriate in its sole discretion.

An Easy, Quick and Free Way to Support Future Wishes

Request a beneficiary designation form from your life insurance company or retirement plan custodian, make us a beneficiary and send your updated form back to the company. Planned GivingIRA Charitable Rollover

Congress reinstated a law that allows you to make a tax-free gift from your individual retirement account (IRA).

Known as the IRA charitable rollover, this law no longer has an expiration date so you are free to make annual gifts to Make-A-Wish Hawaii® from your IRA this year and well into the future. The recently reinstated law allows individuals 70½ and older the ability to transfer up to $100,000 from their individual retirement accounts directly to a qualified charitable organization without being subject to income taxes on the distribution.

Planned GivingBequeath Airline Miles

You can also leave us your frequent flier miles. Currently, more than 80 percent of local wishes involve travel.

I give the balance of my [Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, SouthWest or United Airlines] frequent flier miles, Account #___________ to the Make-A-Wish Foundation Hawaii®  223 South King St., Honolulu, HI 96813 (tax id: 99-0220777) to be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors deems appropriate in its sole discretion.
